As our name suggests, we are committed to helping people access and enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. With modern life we are lucky enough to no longer hunt for our food or fight for our survival, so sport has emerged as the best way for us to keep our minds and bodies fit and healthy.

There are lots of great sports for people to play, and we encourage people to try as many as possible. However, tennis really does cater for any and all situations. You can play for fun with friends or family, you can compete in either singles or doubles, or as part of a team.

So whether you are looking for a new activity for your 4-year-old or have recently retired and want to try a new sport, you can come down to one of our venues; there will be professional, enjoyable and high-quality sessions for you to try.

One of tennis's unique attractions is what we like to call its 'mixability'. Essentially it means that anyone can play with anyone. As soon as you are more than 10-years-old, the court size, rackets and balls don't change; so 12-year-olds can team up with their Granddad, and play against their mum and dad. Wheelchair players can compete with and against able-bodied players, and beginners could step on court with people who have been playing all their lives. We can think of no other sport that presents these opportunities as matter of course.

For children under the age of 10, Tennis has been adapted into 'Mini Tennis'. This tailored approach enables players to develop vital skills and techniques at an early age and offers the perfect introduction to the sport, with all the fun and energy of the real thing.

We pride ourselves on being able to offer a personal, friendly and reliable service, as well as guaranteeing organised and enjoyable sessions. Our enthusiastic and professional team of coaches can cater for all players regardless of age or standard. From our own 'Little Hitters' program for toddlers, Rusty Racket sessions for people who have been away from the game for a while, high-standard performance players or people with disabilities at our weekly disability tennis session.

We often find that tennis players think lessons are for those who can't already play, and people who can't play think lessons are for those who already do. We believe tennis lessons are for anybody who wants to learn a new skill or develop an existing one. We have venues in Southgate (N14), Palmers Green (N13) and Enfield (EN1), with lots of sessions running throughout the week, at weekends and during the summer holidays. We are sure that whoever you are, and whatever you aim to achieve from sport, the Primal Health Tennis Academy can help you on your way. Who knows - perhaps the next Andy Murray or Serena Williams may be from North London.
