2024 Real Estate Insights: A Promising Shift in the Market and Anthony Webb's Continued Success

We are six weeks into 2024 and already this year feels very different to last year. At Anthony Webb we have seen a large increase in buyers registering to view properties as well as an increase in offers being made.

Zoopla’s latest House Price Index shows that UK buyer demand is up by 12% and sales agreed are up by 13% year on year.

Buyer confidence is up mainly due to a fall in mortgage rates in recent weeks, with some deals below 4%, contributing to the buoyancy in the housing market.

Richard Donnell, executive director at Zoopla said “It’s a positive start to the year with all key measures of housing activity higher than a year ago.”

This data provided by Zoopla also shows that London has led the rebound in new buyer demand, with buyer affordability in the capital being the best since 2016.

Additionally, a property in the Lakes Estate, on Derwent Road, sold for the full asking price within just 3 days of being listed, while a 2-bedroom, 2-bath flat achieved the full asking price on its very first day of viewings. These represent only a few of the successful sales we've facilitated in the past few weeks.
