Enfield house price gains above the London average

Good news for Palmers Green home owners as, according to research by Kate Faulkner at Propertychecklists.co.uk, our borough is out preforming the London average for house price gains.

In the last 12 months Enfield’s average house price has increase by 12% compared with the average London increase of 9.6%. Whilst this is great news for home owners it is not so great for first time buyers as the average price for a property in Enfield has risen to £353,451. Most London first time buyers look to pay around £300,000 to get on the property ladder.

Closer to home, in Palmers Green, we are currently seeing a real lack of homes on the market, which could explain why our prices remain higher than average. Demand for homes remains exceptionally high and it’s worth noting that Christmas is the busiest time of year for property searches on the UK’s largest property portals Rightmove and Zoopla.
