The clock is now ticking fast after the Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (England) Regulations were finally passed in Parliament this week.
Agents and landlords have only until October 1 to ensure that each floor of a rental property has a working smoke alarm, and that living spaces with solid fuel appliances have carbon monoxide alarms.
At Anthony Webb Estate Agents in Palmers Green we have been preparing for the new regulations in the rental market and have arranged for our approved contractors to supply, fit and test a long life smoke alarm sealed battery unit on every floor and a long life sealed battery unit carbon monoxide alarm in every room with a gas appliance, (e.g. boiler, gas cooker, gas fire) in all our managed properties.
