New research from Gocompare.com has revealed the top features home buyers are looking for when considering a property to buy.
It was revealed that 73% of those surveyed said an efficient central heating system was one of the most important aspects when considering a new home. This was closely followed by double glazing at 72% and secure window and doors at 71%. 68% of home buyers highlighted a garden as one of the most important features.
Other features such as, a good broadband connection and off-road parking were lower at 54%. What’s more plenty of local shops and amenities were not as important to home buyers at 52%.
Ben Wilson from Gocompare.com Home Insurance commented: "Our research suggests that today's potential home buyers are putting practical concerns ahead of aesthetics by looking for properties which are cosy, energy efficient and secure, rather than full of character."
"As a first time buyer I had no previous experience of the buying process. Susan was good at keeping me updated on progress and explained the process clearly to me at every stage. Anthony Webb kept up momentum on the sale when things could have slacked off, particularly towards completion, and responded very quickly to any questions I had. A good, reliable local firm from my experience, with good connections and knowledge of the local area."
